Andy Warhol Beyond The Brand, is a new exhibition at Halcyon Gallery. A showcase of Warhol’s silkscreened graphic work, featuring the boldly coloured and carefully selected icons of twentieth-century culture that have cemented Warhol as the most important artist in the canon of contemporary art.

We were approach by Halcyon Gallery to commission a selection of various sized table top display cases. The covers were fabricated in 6mm Perspex, with crystal clear museum joins. Sturdy 100mm square redwood timber was used for the legs, this was sanded with a clear matt varnish to give a clean modern look. The base of each case was matt white Perspex. This material is PH neutral and conservation friendly, meaning no barrier is needed between this and any artefacts, avoiding the need for Dacrylate or melinex. As our timing was tight it also meant no off gassing periods associated with paint finishes.

We can make any size acrylic covers and case. Bases can be like these as well as solid and painted plinths. Storage such as draws and cupboards can also be built into them, or even units for humidity control for housing art-sorb / Prosorb.
