A very rare and comparatively unknown private collection including a large proportion of lacquer work by Chibata Zeshin. Not a fully illustrated catalogue, the book sold contains details from family papers and rare watercolours of the objects, completed in Japan for John Garrett. Sections on Lacquer boxes, Inro, Netsuke and the largest Mask Netsuke collection in the western world.
