Here at Dauphin we take personal privacy very seriously. As a general rule dauphin.co.uk does not collect your personal information unless you chose to provide that information to us. When you choose to provide us with your personal information, you are giving us your permission to use that information for the stated purposes listed in this privacy policy. If you choose not to provide us with that information, it might limit the features and services that you can use on this website.

 

What data do we collect and why?

Generally, the information requested by dauphin.co.uk will fall into one of two categories:

Information necessary to process any orders you make with us - this includes your name, shipping address, email address, and phone number. They are used only for the purposes of completing your order. After your first purchase with us, you will be given the option to have this data stored with us for the benefit of future purchases. We will not retain it without your consent, and it will only be used for processing orders. In both cases, your data is never shared with third parties.

Information for marketing purposes - this is just your email address if you chose to sign up to out newsletter.  It is only used in the event of sending out a newsletter. It is never shared with third parties.

 

What about credit card details?

All credit card information is handled by the Stripe payment gateway. We do not ever see card details for online purchases as they are not handled by our site. Stripe's own privacy policy can be found here.

 

How we keep your data safe

Your password is not stored on our servers, instead we keep a cryptogrphically secure hash to we can check whether your input password matches. We do no have the ability to recover your password. The rest of your data is kept in a secure location that is only available to the site administrator. Your individual details are also available to you as a logged in user, but only a user's own details are available to them.

 

Do we use cookies?

We use Google Analytics to keep track of how our site is performing - this necessetates the use of a cookie on visitors' computers. Details of how Google collects and processes data can be found here.

However all the information we see is stripped of any personal data and is therefore completely anonymous, which is why we do not bother you with a redundant opt-in popup
